KHUSSA or MOJARI
Punjabi slippers.
These slippers are still hand made in the Punjab, the dialect gives rise to the different names, there are several others. These differ from the Middle Eastern and African slippers in that they have a leather sole going right up to the tip and over.They came via a very convoluted route to here. Nevertheless they are what I saw over sixty years ago and I adore them.
2014
The pipe is a Stanwell, “Hans Christian Anderson” with a long and a short stem. This was voted pipe of the year in 2008. This pipe gives a very cool satisfying smoke at the end of a day working on the house or in the garden.
